The Tarnogórskie Centrum Kultury is one of the largest cultural and educational institutions in Tarnowskie Góry. Located in the city centre, it is distinguished by a characteristic mosaic by Stefan Suberlak on the façade of the building and a mosaic by Jan Nowak inside. TCK also operates in Opatowice, providing residents with wide access to a variety of artistic events and activities.

Culture at TCK is a real mosaic of events. The institution's extensive repertoire includes film screenings, art workshops, theatre, music and dance classes, as well as meetings introducing the culture and languages of different countries. Literature lovers can participate in literary workshops, and enthusiasts of various fields of study can develop their interests within the framework of permanent thematic sections.

An inseparable element of TCK is the Municipal Giant Cinema and the Giant Film Discussion Club, where viewers can see both the latest film productions and classics of world cinema. Thanks to its activities, the Giant Film Discussion Club has twice been honoured with the Polish Film Institute's award for the best film discussion club in Poland (2013 and 2024). Another part of the institution is the Przytyk Contemporary Art Gallery. This is a place where you can admire the works of local, national and international artists, discovering a wealth of techniques and artistic forms. TCK is also a place for dance enthusiasts. The TESS dance groups, numbering eight, regularly present their skills at local events, dance competitions and on international stages, winning numerous awards. Music also occupies an important place in the activities of the institution. There are three orchestras and eight choirs within TCK, which bring together the inhabitants of Tarnowskie Góry. One of the biggest events co-organised by TCK is the annual celebration of the city - Gwarki. A special element of the celebration is the Gwarki Parade, which in 2024, thanks to the efforts of the institution, was entered on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
