At the temporary exhibition ‘Face to Face’, we are showcasing paintings by Iwona Golor-Baszun’s Portrait Studio. However, the most famous Portrait Studio, to which the Tarnowskie Góry-based artist also refers, was once run by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz (1885–1939), known by the pseudonym ‘Witkacy’. During the lecture, we will learn about the life and work of this artist, who remains an inspiration to this day.

An expert on the subject – Natalia Kruszyna – an art historian, curator and custodian of Witkacy’s works at the Katowice History Museum, and curator of numerous exhibitions of the artist’s work – will speak about him.
