We are a respected and internationally recognised non-governmental organisation of heritage enthusiasts. Since 1953, we have been working socially with great commitment to protect and promote the history of Tarnowskie Góry and the region. We manage a unique complex of post-mining sites, which in 2017 were entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List - as the only such entry in Upper Silesia.

⚒️ Historic Silver Mine - a genius of mining engineering

The only site in the Silesian Voivodeship to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It offers an underground tourist route, partly travelled by boat, showing the history of silver, lead and zinc ore mining.

Additional attractions:

-the educational route "Expedition in search of silver" - activities for pupils in grades 1-4 of primary schools in the underground research laboratory, focusing on the four elements: water, fire, earth and air.

- Engine Room of the Elements - a modern environmental education centre on the surface, dedicated to the elements that shape the world, with a focus on water.Interactive activities are led by the characters Karlik and Gwarek, inspired by the Minecraft game.

- Open-air Museum of Steam Machines - a collection of historic steam machines presented in the open air.

- Ride on the open-air museum train - the opportunity to travel on a vintage train through the open-air museum.

🌊 Black Trout Adit - a masterpiece of underground hydraulic engineering

A unique 600 metre boat tour in an authentic drainage adit from the 19th century. In addition to the standard tour we offer.

- Walrus bathing underground - an unusual form of bathing in the cool waters of the adit.

- Floating - relaxing floating in the total darkness and silence of the underground.

- Rafting - rafting through the underground passageways, providing an unforgettable experience.
