As part of the finale of the exhibition "The Underground World of Tarnowskie Góry. The map from which much began', a meeting with the conservators of the presented map will be held. Dr Dorota Jutrzenka-Supryn and Maciej Banasiak are associated with the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Paper and Leather at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń. The event will be an opportunity to learn about the conservation work carried out on an exceptional exhibit, namely the map of the Tarnogórski underground from the 1930s made by Józef Piernikarczyk, Alfons Kopia and Józef Machwic.

During the meeting, the speakers will talk about the process of the map's conservation, the state of its preservation before the work started and the challenges of securing and restoring such objects. The finissage will also be an opportunity to discuss the significance of the map for research into the history of Tarnowskie Góry mining and the discovery of the city's underground heritage. The meeting will conclude with an opportunity to ask questions and have individual conversations with the guests.
