The 500th anniversary of Tarnowskie Góry is an excellent opportunity to look at our city from a completely new, green-historical perspective. In front of us is the outdoor game "500 Years of Silver, 500 Years of Green. In the footsteps of nature and history", which proves that learning about ecology and local heritage can be combined with excellent intergenerational outdoor fun.

On 21 May, the city centre and nearby green spaces will be transformed into a huge game board. The event will start on the Market Square, near the Town Hall, where a registration desk will be set up from 15:30. Punctually at 4 p.m., the teams will set off on the route, the grand finale of which is planned near the band shell in the Municipal Park. The game will last about two hours and, what is worth emphasising, has the character of a recreational walk - it does not require haste and its pace is adjusted to the capabilities of each participant.

Teams of five to eight people can join in the fun. All you need to do is select a captain, come up with a creative team name and have at least one charged smartphone with a camera ready. Additional style points will certainly be awarded to those groups who try to prepare themed costumes or props. The participation of minors is possible provided an adult guardian is present and has the appropriate consent.

Participants will take on the roles of "Guardians of Heritage" and "Guardians of the Green Tarnowskie Góry". Equipped with route maps and task cards, they will have to find five control points located between the Market Square and the City Park. The challenges prepared will combine knowledge of the 500-year history of our city with so-called green skills and environmental awareness. It will require participants not only to be clever and have a good orientation in the area, but above all to be able to work together as a team.

Participation in the game is completely free of charge, but requires prior registration with the organiser and the signing of a declaration to that effect. The teams will be judged by a specially appointed committee. The final success will be determined by the number of correctly solved riddles and, in the event of a tie, the time taken to complete the route. The stakes are high, as there are attractive prizes for the top three teams, and the organisers do not rule out awarding additional prizes. It is definitely worth booking a Thursday afternoon to actively celebrate the Silver City's jubilee.
