Exactly 100 years ago Jerzy Jeliński proved that he did! Between 1926 and 1928 he set off on an extraordinary round-the-world expedition by car. Instead of navigation he had real paper maps, instead of fast news he had letters and telegrams, and in those days photos of the journey were taken with a film camera, on which each shot was a little treasure.

It was a journey like a holiday adventure: through distant countries, unknown roads, big cities, deserts, oceans and places that for many people at the time were almost like the other end of a fairy tale. The car had to be repaired en route, the road had to be found independently, and every day could bring a new encounter, a surprise or a problem to solve.
