Tuesday morning (16 June) at the Palace in Rybna was filled with emotion, smiles and fond memories. Thirteen couples from Tarnowskie Góry celebrated their long-standing marriages.
The guests were presented with medals awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland, commemorative certificates, a symbolic glass of champagne and a mini-concert. The Mayor of the town, Arkadiusz Czech, also offered his congratulations to the couples.
“I congratulate you on your mutual patience and understanding. I wish you good health. I think you set an example for your families,” said the mayor.
When asked this question, Jadwiga and Ryszard Kłosiński, who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary, replied without hesitation: “There’s no single way. You simply have to love one another; then you’ll get through anything!”
