Gwarki is a festival in the town of Tarnowskie Góry that has been celebrated since 1957. This year, the event will run from Thursday 10 September to Sunday 13 September. Over the four days, participants can look forward to a rich artistic programme, numerous accompanying events and the famous Gwarkowski Parade – organised once again in partnership with the Museum in Tarnowskie Góry.

At the Museum’s premises (Rynek 1), from Friday to Sunday, visitors will be able to view all the permanent exhibitions free of charge (‘Renaissance Hall with a Gallery of Western European Painting’, ‘From the History of Tarnowskie Góry’, ‘Long Live Jan III Sobieski’) and temporary exhibitions (‘Face to Face. The Iwona Golor-Baszun Portrait Studio’). We also invite you to the Dworzec Kultury (1c Częstochowska Street), where the “Tarnowskie Góry Model Railway” and the exhibition “TG500/Ag. Tarnowskie Góry Motifs in Artistic Prints” await visitors.

During this special weekend, the institution will have extended opening hours: on Friday, the Museum will be open from 10.00 am to 7.30 pm, the Dworzec Kultury from 10.00 to 18.00, and then at both venues – on Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00 and on Sunday from 13.00 to 18.00.
