There were wishes, flowers, refreshments and dancing - the circle of the Polish Association of Pensioners, Pensioners and Invalids from Rybna celebrated its quarter-century on Tuesday.
The Pensioners' Circle was founded on 28 April 2001 on the initiative of a group of friends - graduates of the 1940 primary school. As those present at the ceremony at Rybna Palace recalled on Tuesday: the whole class got together and decided to meet every Thursday. The occasions? Every one was good: birthdays, special events, developing interests, meetings with lawyers, historians....
The venue: rooms in the school, which the members renovated themselves. They were also guests at the Rybna Palace, where they organised celebrations and barbecues.
Over the 25 years, they have also gone on about 100 trips in the country: to forests, mountains, castles, pilgrimages and bicycle rallies. They also went on holiday together every year.
They documented their history in successive volumes of the chronicle.
- Rev. Jan Twardowski, an honoured resident of Tarnowskie Góry, wrote: "When it seems that everything is over, everything begins. With you, everything is beginning, the future is ahead of you, spend it in good health, as well as possible," wished the jubilarians from Rybna Mayor Arkadiusz Czech.
We join you in wishing you the best for the next quarter of a century!
