We now know the official results of this year’s Year 8 exams. The published figures show clearly that our town is unrivalled in the region! Pupils from Tarnowskie Góry achieved the highest results (in proportion to the number of pupils) in the entire Tarnowskie Góry District. For pupils, parents and teachers, this is a moment of well-deserved satisfaction.

Excellent results across the board and local record-breakers: 

Young people from our municipality sat three compulsory subjects this year: Polish, mathematics and a foreign language. They coped with them superbly, achieving results that place us as the undisputed leader in education.

• The pass rate for Polish in Tarnowskie Góry was as high as 72.87 per cent (615 pupils sat the exam). Special praise is due here to the Salesian Society Primary School with Bilingual and Inclusive Classes at the Salesian Educational and, which achieved the highest result in this subject in the town – an impressive 80.3 per cent!
• Mathematics, traditionally regarded as the most demanding part of the exams, yielded an excellent overall average of 62.24% in our municipality. Against this backdrop, Primary School No. 8 named after the 3rd Silesian Uhlan Regiment emerged as the clear leader in the sciences, with its pupils achieving a sensational 71.0% in the exam. 
• The results in English proved to be a real knockout – the overall average for the whole town (622 candidates) was an excellent 79.95 per cent. In this category, the Best Start Academy International Primary School confirmed its absolute dominance, with its pupils achieving a spectacular, almost perfect result of 95.2 per cent!

Such high figures demonstrate not only the ambition of the pupils themselves, but also the highest standard of teaching in our primary schools and the tremendous commitment of the teaching staff.
