Solar panels – such as those shown in the photos at Public Nursery School No. 26 in Opatowice – together with energy storage systems, have already been installed at 13 sites (on the roofs of the remaining buildings, not on the ground), with more awaiting installation. Most of the work will be completed by the end of the summer holidays; the tender for the final six installations is currently underway.

In Opatowice, the capacity of the 113 panels installed in the garden is around 50 kW, whilst the energy storage system has a capacity of 81 kWh. The total capacity of all the installations in the project amounts to as much as 852.69 kWp!  The investment will enable significant savings on electricity bills for the schools and will also have a substantial environmental impact.
