Tarnowskie Góry Citizens’ Budget 2027: we present the timetable for the preparation and implementation of the project in 2026.

Timetable:

1. Information campaign until 16 August 
2. Submission of proposals – 17–31 August 
3. Verification of proposals and finalisation of the list of projects for voting: 1–13 September
4. Appeal procedure: 14 September – 12 October 
5. Voting: 13–25 October 
6. Announcement of the voting results by 10 November 2026.

We would like to remind you that the aim of the Tarnowskie Góry Citizens’ Budget is to engage residents and ensure their participation in selecting the projects to be funded from the city budget by including initiatives proposed by residents and enjoying their strongest support.

The funds allocated annually for the implementation of projectsunder the Tarnowskie Góry Citizens’ Budget must not be less than 0.16 per cent of the budget expenditure specified in the most recent report on the implementation of the Tarnowskie Góry City Budget submitted to the City Council, butnot less than 600,000 PLN.


The formal requirements for submitted projects are exactly the same as last year:

  • Under the Tarnowskie Góry Citizens’ Budget, projects may be submitted whose implementation addresses identified social needs, falls within the remit of the Tarnowskie Góry local authority, and can be carried out within a single financial year. The proposed actions must comply with applicable law.
  • All proposed projects must be accessible to the general public.
  • Projects may relate to investment, renovation or operational tasks (so-called ‘soft’ projects).

The cost of a single project must not exceed PLN 50,000.00

Submission of projects

  • The completed project proposal form must be submitted in paper form at the Town Hall or by post to the following address: Tarnowskie Góry Town Hall, Rynek 4, 42 – 600 Tarnowskie Góry by the deadline specified in the BOTG schedule; if the project form is sent by post, the date of the postmark shall be deemed the date of submission.
  • In the project application form, the applicant must provide their full name, place of residence, email address, telephone number, the title and description of the project, its location and the estimated cost of implementation. The form must be signed by the project author.
  • Annex to the project application form – a list bearing the signatures ofat least 25 residents of Tarnowskie Górysupporting the project.
  • Submitted project proposals must be universally accessible to all residents, and projects involving the use or creation of assets (e.g. investments and renovations) must be carried out on property to which the Municipality of Tarnowskie Góry holds a legal title in the form of ownership or perpetual usufruct.

Verification of submissions

  • The verification of submitted project proposals will be carried out by the Tarnowskie Góry Citizens’ Budget Team. Verification will take place within the timeframe specified in the schedule.
  • Submitted projects will be verified in terms of both form and substance.
    • The formal verification of a project proposal will involve checking:
      1. the date of submission of the form,
      2. whether the form has been completed correctly and in full,
      3. whether the proposed project complies with the allocated budget,
      4. the feasibility of carrying out the project within the specified timeframe.
    • The substantive assessment of the proposed project will involve checking:
      1. whether the proposed project complies with the Local Spatial Development Plan,
      2. the practical feasibility of carrying out the project
      3. the costs of the project,
      4. compliance with adopted municipal programmes and strategies, as well as the local authority’s objectives,
      5. public accessibility,
      6. accessibility for people with special needs.

Voting

  • Projects that have been successfully verified in terms of both form and content will be published and put to a vote.
  • Voting on proposed projects under the BOTG scheme will take place using the online form available atwww.botg.tarnowskiegory.plor on paper. At the same time, consultation points will be set up across the town of Tarnowskie Góry, where residents will be able to cast their votes.
  • Every resident of Tarnowskie Góry is eligible to vote.
  • Each person eligible to vote may cast a maximum of one vote.
  • To confirm their eligibility to vote, voters must provide their first name, surname, home address and date of birth; for online voting, they must also provide a telephone number to which a code will be sent, required to confirm their vote.
  • Confirmation of an electronic vote is made by entering the SMS code received into the system.A single telephone number may only be used once in the vote.
