For years Gwarki has been one of the most important cultural events in the region and one of the most important symbols of Tarnowskie Góry's identity. In the year of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the city we have prepared an edition of a special character and the largest scale so far.
The centre of the events will traditionally be the vibrant market square, where artists creating a programme at the highest level will perform on a large stage. A zone for families with children will be created on the premises of the Tarnogórski Cultural Centre, full of attractions, workshops and animation activities. The Gwarki Pochód, our local heritage inscribed on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, will also have an extended formula. The Gwarki Jubilee will be complemented by numerous accompanying events, which for several days will fill the city with culture, history and an atmosphere of shared celebration.
