13 out of the 26 proposals submitted to the Tarnowskie Góry Citizens’ Budget have – so far – passed the verification process. The projects include, amongst other things, the creation of a mobile medical care centre, the installation of CCTV, the construction of a boules court, renovation works and dance events. It is now time for the appeal procedure.

During the first stage of the vetting process, three applicants were asked to submit additional information – all of them did so.

A total of 13 applications were ultimately admitted to the vote – prior to the appeal stage. The remaining applications were rejected mainly due to excessive costs; one was rejected for failing to include a list of signatures with the application; one because the proposed project did not concern municipal land (a district road); one because it did not meet the condition of public accessibility, and another because it specified a particular contractor for the project, which is contrary to public procurement law.

The applications approved are

1. HKR Mobile Medical Point – Safe Events and Gatherings in Tarnowskie Góry
2.  THROW THE BALL! A boules court for everyone, ZSP No. 1 in Tarnowskie Góry
3. Active School for All 2027, Primary School No. 8 in Tarnowskie Góry
4. Safe Repty Śląskie – putting a stop to speeding on Waliska Street, Długa Street, Skowronków Street and Ks. Renka Street
5. Securing the sports pitch by replacing the perimeter fencing and installing CCTV at Primary School No. 10, Tarnowskie Góry, 17 Zaciszna Street
6. Tidying up Kunszt Park and its surroundings, Parkowa Street
7. Inclusive open-air dance parties at the HALA Shopping and Service Centre. Inclusive dance and music events for the residents of Tarnowskie Góry at the HALA Shopping and Service Centre
8. Refurbishment of the neighbourhood community centre in Rybna. Community centre in the ZSP 4 building in Tarnowskie Góry
9. Replacement of the asphalt surface on Nowa Street 1 and 3 in Tarnowskie Góry
10. Renovation of the athletics track at 2 Wojska Polskiego Street, Tarnowskie Góry (2 Wojska Polskiego Street – athletics track)

In accordancewith Section 7(2) of Resolution No. L/526/2022 of the Tarnowskie Góry Town Council dated 22 June 2022 on the requirements of the Tarnowskie Góry Citizens’ Budget and the rules and procedure for conducting consultations on it, those whose projects have been rejected have the right to apply in writing to the Complaints, Motions and Petitions Committee of the Tarnowskie Góry Town Council for a re-examination of the project, by submitting a reasoned appeal within 7 days of the publication of the list.
