Applications for financial support for the development of sport in Tarnowskie Góry must be submitted by 15 October of this year, provided that the specific task or planned project is to be started and completed in the following year, i.e. in 2027.

The financial support for which a sports club is applying may be used to co-fund the implementation of the proposed project relating to the development of sport, and in particular for:

• the delivery of sports training programmes;
• the purchase of sports equipment;
• covering the costs of organising or participating in sporting competitions;
• covering the costs of using sports facilities for sports training purposes;
• funding sports scholarships and the costs of coaching staff salaries.

However, the grant allocated to co-fund the implementation of the proposed sports development project may not be used to finance:

• the payment of salaries to players or officials of a sports club;
• the transfer of a player from another sports club;
• the payment of fines, penalties and other sanctions imposed on a sports club or a player of that club;
• a sports club’s liabilities arising from loans, credit facilities or the purchase of securities, as well as debt servicing costs;
• costs incurred by the applicant in implementing the project prior to the conclusion of the grant agreement.

And one more important point, which is also a fundamental condition for sports clubs applying for financial support. Namely, financial support takes the form of a targeted grant awarded to sports clubs following the procedure set out in the Resolution, and is conditional upon the sporting results achieved by the sports clubs and the extent to which the public objective in the field of sport has been fulfilled. The public objective in the field of sport, as set out in the Resolution, is achieved through:

• improving the conditions for practising sport within the city by members of individual sports clubs;
• increasing residents’ access to sporting activities organised by individual sports clubs;
• providing financial support for initiatives carried out by sports clubs operating to promote, popularise and develop sport, and whose athletes participating in national and international competitions achieve increasingly higher sporting results.

The amount of funding for which a sports club applies may not exceed 90 per cent of the total planned costs of implementing the proposed project relating to the development of sport.

An application by a sports club for financial support for the development of sport in Tarnowskie Góry should include:

• the name, registered office, contact details of the persons (authorised to represent the club and sign contracts), and the applicant’s bank account number;
• a detailed description of the project for which support is to be granted, including information on the location where the project is to be carried out and the intended objectives;
• a detailed cost estimate for the project, specifying the secured own funds;
• a timetable for the implementation of the project and the use of the grant, as well as a calculation of the anticipated costs of implementing the project.

The application for financial support for the development of sport in Tarnowskie Góry must be accompanied by:

• a current extract from the National Court Register or from another register or from the records relevant to the organisational form of the sports club in question;
• a current copy of the articles of association or the memorandum and articles of association;
• a substantive and financial report for the previous year.

All documents must be certified as true copies of the originals by persons authorised to represent the club.
