The Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Katowice announces the opening of public consultations on the draft legislation for the establishment of the nature reserve "Park w Reptach". Opinions and comments can be submitted until 23 January 2026.
The consultations include:
The draft legislation has been prepared taking into account requests and comments made at an earlier stage of the work. The park in Repty will invariably remain accessible to walkers, cyclists and tourists visiting the Black Trout Adit. The status of the reserve permanently strengthens the protection of the unique Reptach Forest - a relic of the Silesian Forest - together with its beech habitats and rare animal species of plants and fungi, and delimits the buffer zone around the Park. The aim of protecting the reserve is also to raise the profile and promote the legacy of ore mining, together with the UNESCO attributes inextricably linked with the area's nature and history. The reserve can be explored with a dog along designated paths (including on horseback) - this includes over 14 km of forest roads + all tarmac. A mining underground route is available below its surface.
Full documentation of the draft orders with maps is available in the appendices.
